PREFACE

The cult of Christian Science has had much written about it in the last sixty years. Due to the suppression of many of the original sources, however, it has become exceedingly difficult to obtain good documented prima fade material, dealing with this subtle non-Christian cult. This booklet is by no means intended to extensively supply such a need. Those interested in further documented material should consult the bibliography in the back of this booklet. The object of the author in this brief treatise, is to present a type of resume or survey of Christian Science so that the interested reader may be led to pursue further the study of this powerful and growing religious organization.

The author wishes to state that all of the material herein contained is documented and verifiable. Should there be any questions on the part of the reader, he is invited to write for further confirmation.

The task of an evangelical apologist is not always a pleasant one nor is it a smooth road to travel. No one's beliefs are criticized in this booklet with the intent of injuring individuals or with the intent of "tearing down the religion merely for the sake of tearing it down." This booklet was motivated by a deep desire on the part of the writer to acquaint Christian people with the vital necessity of defending as well as propagating the historic Gospel of Jesus Christ in these closing days of the age of Grace. It is sent forth therefore with the earnest prayer that the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ may see fit to use it to open the eyes of Christians and aid them in reaching those who are enmeshed in the cult of Christian Science.
